We all have a responsibility to be involved.

As citizens ourselves, we hold a duty to serve our country. Most choose to fulfill this undertaking by voting; but the courageous, the bold, the passionate—they take it farther. These leaders see the cracks of our society and mend them. They see those suffering and help them. This person is the civil servant, who is of the utmost importance to society and wields influence greater than a normal citizen. Of course, it takes time to get into such a position; it takes even more to become a person worthy of such.

We believe that young Chinese-Americans are superbly talented, enthusiastic and creative, but lack the proper resources and mentorship in order to become leaders—but we cannot wait any longer. In a time defined by racial prejudice against Chinese-Americans, the need for Chinese-American leaders is increasing faster than ever. We seek to empower young individuals who identify as Chinese-American to step out and carry the torch that’s burned ever since we became a community hundreds of years ago. We seek to redefine how the public sees Chinese-American involvement in public affairs. We seek to build a community stronger and louder than ever before.
